What happens to anything you tell this site. Plain and short.
Who I am
This site belongs to Paul Roebuck, psychotherapist, coach and author, in Warwickshire, UK. You can reach me through the contact page.
What I collect, and why
- The contact form: your name, email and message, and which page you were on before the contact page, so I can reply. Messages about therapy are treated as confidential and read only by me.
- A letter from The Last Gap: your email, so the letters open for you. I send you nothing else unless you tick the optional box.
- The talk sign-up form: your name, email and village or town, and which link brought you to the form, so I can tell you when and where a talk is. If you tick the optional box, I’ll also get in touch about your team or business.
- The Oxhill talk page: if you ask for the slides, your name and email, so I can send them to you. I write to you again only if you tick the optional box. If you leave a comment in the guest book, your comment and your first name if you give it. It is read only by me, and I quote it only if you tick the box. If you order a book, your name and the phone number or email you give, used for that order only.
- The waiting list: your email, to tell you when the phone and web edition is ready. Again, nothing else unless you tick the optional box.
Buying The Last Gap phone and web edition: payments are handled by Stripe. I receive your name and email for the receipt; I never see your card details.
I never sell or share your details.
Where it’s kept
Form entries are stored by the site’s host, Netlify, which may process them outside the UK under standard data-protection safeguards. Emails to me arrive in my own inbox.
How long
Until you ask me to remove them, or when they’re no longer needed. Ask any time through the contact page and I’ll delete them.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete what I hold about you. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
No advertising cookies. If you choose “That’s fine” on the cookie notice, Google Analytics sets cookies that count visits and show which pages are read, how far down they are read, and which links, downloads and forms are used, so I can see what’s useful. Google may process that data outside the UK. If you choose “Rather not”, none are set.
Visitor counts
Separately from cookies, the site’s host counts page requests at the server — which pages were asked for, roughly which country the request came from, and how much data was sent. It sets no cookies, runs nothing in your browser, and does not build a profile of you or follow you between sites. I use it to see which writing is being read.
Terms
